The Jackal Squadron's Robert Ferrero Award

Robert Ferrero was an accomplished Californian rock musician who also happened to build exceptional models. An early participant of the on-line modeling community websites and forums, Robert's works were frequently published on HyperScale. He was an original member of the Jackal Squadron and we were all greatly saddened when he lost his battle with cancer in 2003. The Jackal Squadron continues to honor Robert's legacy each year with an award that recognizes a finished model featured on any modeling website that best matches his distinctive style: clean, tasteful builds, excellent photography, and with a minimal use of aftermarket items. Robert shunned stylistic trends and let his fantastic builds and clear photographs inspire others.
