More importantly, the Plane Talking forum became the heir apparent to the seminal rec.models.scale discussion group and continues to be the place where the latest news, helpful hints, and intelligent discussion of the most important modeling topics occurs today. The quality of the published models and reviews remains the highest of all the modeling websites and more importantly is the hub of a loyal community of modelers, vendors, and industry representatives. The influence of HyperScale cannot be underestimated and through Brett's guidance has remained consistently objective and positive over the years. Brett lends his support of other related special interest websites through his HobbyVista hosting service and has recently become an author of modeling reference books in the Osprey series. Brett's models are built with a very high degree of quality and are an inspiration to modelers of all ages and abilities. Brett achieves all this with an evenhandedness and a humility that makes him eminently approachable and humble. He's a regular participant in modeling events around the world and will always give you a warm smile and lend you an ear to discuss what he truly loves -- models and modeling.
